Abatement and Mitigation

Colorado and most other state laws require that; Prior to renovation and/or demolition, any building material to be removed from the structure/property that contains 1% or more asbestos must be removed by a State Certified General Abatement Contractor. It is illegal under State and Federal EPA and OSHA law for anyone (contractor or employees) to handle or remove an asbestos containing material unless the contractor and employees are certified by the state and have met the EPA qualifications to be a General Abatement Contractor. Employees that work for GAC are required to meet worker training and certification requirements.
