Personal experience led me to retain the services of Ben Teague to inspect a newly constructed mountain property we recently purchased. While we hoped that the highest construction practices were used by the developers construction company, major difficulties we experienced during the construction phase and numerous documented examples of lack of integrity by the builder were factors in our retention of Mr. Teague to provide us with the necessary information as to the general condition of the property. Mr. Teague entered into a difficult situation with a level of expertise the builder could not reasonably question.

Randy and I were told by all our friends that buying our first home would be stressful. Boy were they right! In the end, we got our beautiful home, nestled in the center of South Park, but it was no easy ride! At the time, it was HIGHLY recommended that we hire a building inspector to ensure that the house was in good condition and worth the price.

So, we hired Ben Teague. Randy and I were very impressed with Ben. When we arrived at the house, Ben informed us that the Inspection would take a few hours. He encouraged us to ask lots of questions. At the end of the Inspection, Ben spent about 20-30 minutes writing up a detailed reportof the house. This was extremely helpful because we couldn'tpossibly remember all the things that Ben mentioned or suggested we do to update and preserve the house. What we also liked about Ben is that it was clear he had years of experience. It was also clear Ben enjoyed the work as he was cheerful, friendly and willing to spend as much time as was needed. Mr. Teague inspected our potential home for us in June of 2005. We found him to be extreemly professional and punctual, (he was even early to the appointment). Mr. Teague did a very thurough inspection of our home from the crawlspace to the roof and explained, in real terms, everything he was doing and his findings. He repeatadly made sure that we understood what he was looking for and the possible effects his findings would have on our purchase of the home. We found him to have a vast knowledge of Victorian era homes and building styles which was a comfort as we were purchasing a 140 yr. old home as our first home.
